The title of the exhibition refers to the essay by Jorge Luis Borges published in Other Inquisitions, from 1952. The essay "The Flower of Coleridge" begins with a quote from Paul Valéry: The History of Literature should not be the history of the authors and of the accidents of his career or the career of his works, but the History of the Spirit as producer or consumer of literature. That story could be completed without mentioning a single writer. Uribe echoes the Borgesian idea that all authors are an author to display a body of works that question the concepts of authorship and originality.
