In an exercise of appropriations and displacements, "National Museum" gathers and combines fragments of a series of paintings that refer to other paintings belonging to the National Museum of Visual Arts. Based on a nineteenth-century assembly, the palettes of Ernesto Laroche, María Freire, Horacio Torres, Miguel Ángel Pareja, Guillermo Laborde, José Pedro Costigliolo and Melchor Méndez Magariños are combined in a new work that occupies the entire exhibition space.
